As of February 2, 2026, Compaxo Groep has taken over the production of Van Iersel Vleeswaren from Cooymans Vlees BV. The acquisition covers the product category of head cheese products and regional specialties. With this move, the group further expands its activities within the processed meats segment.
The production has been transferred to Maasland Vleeswaren B.V. in Belfeld. This company is part of the Compaxo Groep. Maasland Vleeswaren specializes in the production of regional and local specialty products.
According to Compaxo, the site has the expertise and facilities required to sustainably continue these artisanal products. The production of head cheese products and regional specialties will therefore be embedded within an existing organization with experience in this segment.
With this acquisition, Compaxo Groep further broadens its portfolio with products distinguished by their authentic recipes and regional character. At the same time, continuity of the assortment is safeguarded.
Within the professional production environment, there is also room for further product development. This gives the acquired product categories a structural position within the group.
