Column Saskia Stender: Interpretation

I love that word: interpretation. It means that you hear what you want to hear and then give it your own interpretation. I have always interpreted myself as transparent. Terms like honest, clear and "what you see is what you get. Yet apparently I'm not really clear

Because. We have been around for 30 years now. And by 'we' I mean b2b Communications BV with the OSV network and food industry trade magazine as its main projects. 30 years. Then you may assume that everyone knows who you are and what you do. Turns out there are still OSV members who do not know that we also publish Voedingsindustrie magazine. There are still OSV members who do not know that we also publish Voedingsindustrie magazine. And there are still advertisers who think the magazine only goes to these 300 members.

For a communications agency, that is quite a shock. Now I could keep quiet (just as many food companies keep quiet about their food safety issues). But I won't do that. If I don't " come clean" now, things will never change.

The OSV and Vakblad Voedingsindustire are inextricably linked, as is restaurant Buitenzorg to OSV barbecues. OSV is a network with about 300 members. We meet physically 8 to 10 times a year to share knowledge and network informally. Vakblad Voedingsindustrie is delivered to more than 3,000 food producers. The purpose of the magazine is to spread knowledge, through print and online.

Responsible for these projects are Judith Witte as editor-in-chief of the trade magazine and host of the OSV; Kiki Stender as traffic manager, online specialist of the trade magazine and co-organizer of the OSV, and myself as publisher of the trade magazine and owner of the OSV.

A transparent explanation of three girls, open to only one interpretation.
