Automated packaging lines by Multivac

Whether it’s ready meals or delicatessen products, MULTIVAC provides automation and system solutions for the food industry as a leading partner. This expertise will be presented at FACHPACK in Nuremberg from 23 to 25 September 2025, including an automated traysealer line designed for sustainable packaging of meals and delicacies.

To address labour shortages and growing product diversity, MULTIVAC is investing further in automation. Key to this approach are intuitive operation, fast product changeovers and intelligent process control. According to Vice President Dietmar Bohlen, ease of use is essential—even for staff without a technical background.

One example of this approach is the TX 620 traysealer line. It features AI-based inspection, a cobot for automated tray handling, and modified atmosphere packaging using cardboard trays with a thin, recyclable film. The combination of speed, hygiene and precision supports efficient production.

In addition to the traysealer, MULTIVAC will also present a compact thermoforming packaging machine and complementary system solutions. All components come from a single source, from packaging machines to consumables. There is also a focus on material savings and the use of recyclable or renewable materials in line with the European PPWR regulation.
