Ausnutria and Royal A-ware close strategic deal

  • 15 July 2026

Ausnutria and Royal A-ware are joining forces. Royal A-ware is acquiring a 35% stake in Amalthea. Ausnutria will maintain its majority stake at 65%. Together, the parties aim to further develop the production of goat cheese and organic cow cheese.

Optimal milk valorization

The collaboration focuses on the optimal valorization of all milk components. To achieve this, both parties are pooling their specific expertise. Royal A-ware will focus on the domestic and international sales of the cheese. Ausnutria remains responsible for processing high-quality whey proteins for infant formula. This leads to a more stable supply chain.

Growing demand for goat dairy

Both parties are co-investing in the expansion of the Amalthea cheese-making facility. This allows them to respond to growing domestic and international demand. Jan Anker, Chairman of the Board of Royal A-ware, explains: “The demand for goat dairy is growing, and this step enables us to offer our customers an even broader product portfolio.”

Shorter route to the farm

The move aligns with the long-term strategy of both companies. Jan Anker adds: “Here too, we are creating the shortest route from consumer to farm.” Bart van der Meer, Executive Director of Ausnutria, calls the collaboration a solid foundation for a future-proof goat dairy chain.
