World Food Experience destination plan overturned

The Council of State ruled on Wednesday 28 December 2022 in the appeal proceedings of the Stichting Milieuwerkgroepen Ede against the zoning plan for the World Food Experience. Unfortunately, the Council of State ruled that the municipality did not properly substantiate the zoning plan.

The Council of State ruled that the zoning plan will be annulled. This means that the zoning plan cannot be used. The municipality will use the coming period to investigate the consequences this will have for the World Food Experience.

Alderman Leon Meijer: "The ruling is obviously a disappointment for both the municipality and the WFC Experience Foundation and has a considerable impact on the plans. We need some time to look together at what consequences this will have."
