The coronavirus has a major impact on the economy and the continuity of everyone's business operations.
The food industry is a vital sector and we all have to deal with it. It will be difficult, but we all have to make sure that the food chain is maintained. It is in everyone's interest to continue to carry out day-to-day activities as much as possible. As publishers of trade journals and organisers of OSV meetings, we too must respond to this.
All planned meetings in the first half of the year have been postponed until further notice. The OSV members will be informed of this. Of course everyone already knows this, but as OSV we have to keep the lines of communication open.
We now work from home and are able to control the production of the trade journals by telephone and digitally. As long as the printers continue to print and the postmen continue to do their rounds, the production of the trade journals will not be endangered. The content will be a challenge. In addition to continuing to inform the market, we also have a social responsibility; after all, we work with a lot of freelancers. This group in particular sees the flow of money dry up completely. We will continue to work with you for as long as possible!
- All external agreements have been cancelled and replaced by conference calls.
- Our journalists no longer go to the client. Instead, we only schedule telephone interviews.
- Photographers will only be used if both the photographer and the client give their consent.
We wish you a lot of strength with everything that comes your way in the near future.
Kind regards,
Saskia, Judith and Kiki
