Verstegen takes a significant step towards a more plant-based future. The Rotterdam-based company introduces KNEED & KLAAR, a line of seven 100% plant-based, long-lasting mixes that enable consumers to quickly and easily put tasty meat substitutes on the table. This line, deriving its flavor from added herbs and spices, is supported by an extensive multimedia campaign.
In a statement about the introduction, Nina van Delsen, Brand Manager Retail at Verstegen Spices & Sauces, emphasizes the importance of sustainability and innovation. She describes KNEED & KLAAR as a product developed for the adventurous flexitarian and the hobby cook who wants to prepare a delicious, plant-based meal quickly. She proudly presents this new dry mix, which is mixed with oil and water to form a plant-based 'dough' that is then briefly baked. The emphasis is on the simple process: "mix, knead, bake & ready".
KNEED & KLAAR offers a wide range of plant-based options, including Plantburgers (classic seasoned and spicy jalapeño), Convenience Balls (classic seasoned and Indian seasoned), and Legume Mince (classic seasoned, Italian seasoned, and spicy seasoned). This new product line meets the guidelines for meat substitutes from the Nutrition Center and will be exclusively available at Albert Heijn starting from late February.
Verstegen aims to inspire and guide consumers with clear instructions and engaging video content, accessible via QR codes on the packaging.
