Veld Koeltechniek acquires LTI

Groenlose-based Veld Koeltechniek (a specialist in refrigeration technology in various end markets) has acquired LTI of Lopik, the Netherlands, effective Tuesday, June 20, 2023. LTI is an expert in refrigeration systems especially for food processing industries such as bakeries and slaughterhouses. Thanks to this acquisition, the company will grow to 320 employees.

Located in Lopik and with 50 employees, LTI's expertise in consulting, installation and maintenance of refrigeration technology perfectly complements Veld Koeltechniek's ambition. Michel Berends, general manager of Veld Koeltechniek, notes, "With LTI we can offer more effective and sustainable industrial refrigeration solutions, in line with the growing demand in the market."

The former owners of LTI, Wim Littel and Joost van Moolenbroek, are optimistic about the merger. They believe the combination is better positioned for innovation, especially in the area of energy-efficient installations and the reuse of waste heat. Importantly, LTI will continue to operate from Lopik, with Littel and van Moolenbroek remaining involved.

Veld Koeltechniek, which has partnered with investor 365 Capital since November 2022, is strongly committed to sustainability, innovation and remote monitoring of installations. Data analytics and management are a core part of their future strategy.

The company is also actively seeking further acquisition candidates in both the Netherlands and Germany, in line with their growth ambitions. Veld also recently acquired Uyterlinde, a service specialist focused on the hospitality industry.
