  • 09 July 2020

Tyson Foods, one of the world's largest food companies and a recognised leader in proteins, is introducing a range of chicken meat products to the European foodservice market under the well-known Tyson® brand, including restaurants, some cafeterias and caterers. The brand offers 28 frozen products in categories ranging from breadcrumbs, skewers, raw and baked. All products have been developed within Tyson's innovation centres to meet consumer taste expectations and with sustainability in mind.

"The world is evolving at a rapid pace. Today's customers face obstacles and need to adapt quickly to change," said Brett Van de Bovenkamp, Regional President, Tyson Foods Europe. "We offer our customers locally tailored solutions by leveraging our resources and insights, innovation and R&D from multiple markets.

"With two innovation centres across Europe, we have talented local teams that help us serve new customers, channels and regions," said Felipe Castillo, Director of Marketing and Innovation at Tyson Foods Europe. "We want to meet customer needs with an extensive product portfolio, including Tyson products, with a focus on sustainability.

Transparency and sustainability

The multilingual product packaging contains a total of 13 languages to meet customers' language and label requirements. All packaging is also fully recyclable. The articles produced in Europe are packaged in recyclable material that is 50 percent bioplastic. Articles from Thailand and Brazil are packaged in recyclable monolayer plastic.

Tyson Foods acquired the European operations of BRF S.A. in 2019, in line with Tyson's growth strategy to expand its value-added protein offering internationally and better serve customers in Europe.
