The kick-off of ToekomstProef took place on 23 March 2023. This is an initiative of St. Food+Wellbeing and a number of strategic partners to make eating and drinking in care institutions not only better, but also measurably more sustainable.
Sustainability and the provision of healthy food in healthcare is very much alive. But there are obstacles to sustainability, the chairman of the day, Ronald Lekkerkerker of Deoderon, made clear to over 100 representatives from the healthcare sector. "Improving food and drink and making it more sustainable does not happen by itself, so it is important to have pioneers. ToekomstProef can play that pioneering role among healthcare organisations."
ToekomstProef initiator Rudi Crabbé made it clear during the meeting where ToekomstProef now stands, and where it is moving towards. "ToekomstProef wants to connect parties and help processes run faster and better. We are now working on 'Green Deal 3.0' and notice that people need help in guiding that process. ToekomstProef is therefore betting on leadership among the participating companies," said Crabbé.
