Think bigger

Digitisation has taken huge leaps in a relatively short amount of time. At Nutrilab, we already 'produce' an incredible amount of data through all our analyses and samples. And we are surely not the only ones.

The main and very topical question is: how can we unlock and access all this data? Because the call for openness and transparency, especially for food companies, is getting louder. As entrepreneurs, we have to realise that the automation of our companies goes beyond the walls or our premises. All these ones and zeros will not be contained any longer.

How can we unlock and access the information in an easy and safe way, in a world where hackers are lurking and cyber security is high on the agenda? The answer to that most certainly requires new automation systems and tools that can be used to quickly build data templates. For the user, simplicity is key. It must be possible to harvest the information you need from the enormous pool of data with just a few clicks.

For those who are unfamiliar with all these concepts, the words 'simplicity' and 'digitisation' seem to be a contradiction in terms. But I know that it can be done. One thing is certain, and that is that you will not succeed by constructing your automation process on the foundations of the old structures. Those days are over, it is time to think differently. Whoever wants to grow in this digital world, has to think bigger.
