The freedom to exchange knowledge

In the run-up to the summer, the networks have certainly been busy. Members have seen each other regularly at the events and meetings we’ve organised, and we’re rounding off the first half of the year with our traditional Summer Barbecue. We’ve also gained a considerable amount of information from one another and from the speakers at our events and during the company visits. Knowledge sharing is one of the pillars of the OSV and YFM.

And alongside that all-important personal contact, our motto is ‘a cross-media approach’.

We distribute our trade magazine Vakblad Voedingsindustrie to all food processing companies in The Netherlands, but things don’t stop there. There is still a huge market beyond our national borders. Therefore, we’ve been working tremendously hard this spring to develop a completely new website. We’re now ready for 2020! Thanks to the effective use of SEO we’ve optimised our rankings in Google’s search engine.

Each edition of Vakblad Voedingsindustrie is translated into English, the website is bilingual and hence we are easy to find (and read) for the international market. Borders? Which borders?! Anyone, anywhere in the world, now has free access to all the articles without requiring a subscription of any kind. We’re advocates of free knowledge exchange – in contrast to many of our fellow publishers who only work on a subscription basis, including for online. We’ve removed that barrier.

For our advertising partners we’ve created a highly visible platform in our new design. Ultimately everyone is keen to achieve optimal exposure, and we’re happy to do our bit to help.

By working together we can put The Netherlands even more firmly on the map.
