At the beginning of October 2020, Sismatec and Bizerba organized a joint live event in the industrial halls of 'DeFabrique' in Utrecht. The strict corona measures were taken into account; per day there were 4 time blocks in which producers from the food industry could register. Maximum 30 persons per time block. Despite all the measures, the interest was great and many people witnessed the world firsts of both companies.
Bizerba introduced the CleanCut®, an innovative and very fast labeling and printing machine for C and D labels. CleanCut refers to the way of cutting, where no glue layer is left behind on the cutting blade, resulting in a clean cut. By applying Bizerba's Linerless labels to the CleanCut machine, the customer has much less waste and can produce more sustainable, greener and more economically. In this way, Bizerba offers an all-in-one solution from our own company!
Sismatec introduced the all-in-one watercutter developed in-house. Also under the name CleanCut 400. This watercutter gives with a perfect cut a cutting result where no pollution occurs and there is no cutting loss.
Flagship
The flagship at the Summit was the fully operational packaging line: de-nesting for trays (Sismatec's Intray de-nester), filling of liquids in the tray (Sismatec's Turbo volume doser), metal detector (Bizerba), checkweigher with emitter (Bizerba), in-line tray sealer (Sismatec's GT2e Proseal) and GLMI weighing and pricing machine with bladder labeling (Bizerba's GLMI).
Because the line was fully operational it was easy to see how the different components were connected to each other. "This line stands like a house" or similar words were often heard from the visitors. In addition, there were live demonstrations of the latest fully automatic industrial cutting machine; the Bizerba A560. Sismatec presented several running standalone machines, including an industrial Mado machine mixer (type MEC 722), a REX 327 vacuum filler with portioning and turning capability and a compact MADO MSM764SL dish cutter.
In short, two interesting days for the Dutch food industry.
