A lack of raw materials and production resources is seen as the most important obstacle to meeting customer demand by 27.5 percent of entrepreneurs in the food industry.

In the dairy industry, this barrier is mentioned by almost 60 percent of entrepreneurs. A shortage of labour is experienced as a constraint by 22.5 percent of entrepreneurs in the food industry. The bread and pasta industry stands out here, with as many as 40 percent of entrepreneurs crying out for staff.

It is remarkable that 25 percent of the entrepreneurs in the food industry say they do not feel constrained in any way. Financial restrictions are also rare in the food industry. Only 1.1 percent of the entrepreneurs mentioned this as an obstacle to production.
