Roem van Yerseke and Prins & Dingemanse merge

  • 18 June 2020

Roem van Yerseke and the Royal Prince & Dingemanse will merge. The family businesses both specialise in the cultivation, processing and packaging of fresh mussels, oysters and shrimps and continue under the name Roem van Yerseke. The merger creates the largest mussel and oyster processing company in the Netherlands.

Johan Lacor, director Roem van Yerseke: "Where we used to be rivals we achieve the opposite with our merger: it enables us to strengthen our market position in a unique way". Jan Prins, director of Prins & Dingemanse, adds: "This is a great advantage for us when it comes to the availability of natural products from the sea and their constant quality".

The choice of name for the new combination has been well thought out: when you think of mussels, you think of Yerseke.

All employees of the two companies remain employed. In total, the merged company employs around 200 people in the high season.
