Packaging line goes for the gold

The X-line from Multivac, a new generation of thermoform packaging machines, has won a gold medal during the International FoodTec Awards 2018. The X-line creates a new packaging dimension with regard to reliability, quality, and performance. It has a sensor system that consistently records an extensive range of process values, such as during shaping and vacuum sealing. Product and system-related deviations are automatically offset: even errors in the settings made by users will be independently detected and displayed. MULTIVAC Pack Pilot enables the machine to be ideally tune: the new generation of matrices, X-tools, shorten the time required to create a vacuum, resulting in greater production per cycle. The X-line is also equipped with an intuitive HMI 3 Multi-Touch user interface in high resolution and simple, logical controls. Individual user settings are possible (including different access rights and languages for the controls). The user login with RFID chip cards is contact free.
