Normec Group acquired leading research and laboratory group the Delft Research Group (DRG) on Friday, March 12, 2021. Founded in 1994, DRG has its origins in greenhouse farming. Over the years DRG has developed into a leading international group of laboratories with offices in the Netherlands and Peru. DRG focuses on the development and application of innovative measurement methods in agriculture, horticulture and the food sector. It has thus achieved a leading international position as a leading knowledge partner and advisor in the field of optimal production and quality as well as food safety.
For Normec, the joining of DRG to the group is of great value. CEO Joep Bruins states: "by joining DRG with its particularly broad scope of accreditations and recognitions, we are even better able to take care of our clients in the full breadth of food safety and quality. This is a wonderful addition to our six existing Agro & Food laboratories in the Benelux and Germany as well as to the inspection and consultancy services of Normec Foodcare. We think the in-depth expertise of the DRG team within the Normec Foodcare context is really fantastic to use."
Bert van Tol (Owner / CEO DRG) "For DRG's customers and employees, this affiliation with Normec Foodcare is a great opportunity to continue our solid growth for the long term, also internationally. We believe that for all parties this is an opportunity from which we expect to benefit greatly. Moreover, it feels like a very natural transition for us because we were already working closely with Normec Foodcare's specialists and we feel very much akin to striving for excellent service based on in-depth specialist knowledge."
