New trademark for gluten-free products

  • 04 February 2025

Beyond Celiac, the largest gluten-free organization in the United States, has unveiled a new registered trademark. This follows the release of Issue 4 of the BRCGS Standard, where the "Gluten-Free Certification Program" (GFCP) was renamed the "Global Standard Gluten-Free." The new trademark aligns with this name change and provides greater clarity.

Old logos remain valid

The new trademark is now available to manufacturers certified under the BRCGS Standard. Companies already using the old Beyond Celiac logo do not need to update their packaging immediately. There is no mandatory transition period, helping to avoid high costs associated with packaging changes. However, it is recommended to switch to the new logo during the next packaging update.

Strict requirements from May 2025

As of May 5, 2025, new label submissions with the old logo will no longer be accepted. Manufacturers submitting new labels after this date must comply with the requirement to use the new Beyond Celiac logo.

More details about the guidelines, including the Free-From Trademark Guideline and the Trademark Approval Form, are available on the BRCGS help page.
