New Slicing Center of Excellence now open

The brand-new MULTIVAC Slicing Center of Excellence in Buchenau (just 365 km from the center of the Netherlands) has recently opened its doors! Are you a producer or processor of deli meats or cheese slices and interested in visiting this new Application Center? Feel free to get in touch with us. MULTIVAC has developed a range of slicing equipment that covers all output categories, which can be extensively tested at this new location.

The construction of the Slicing Center of Excellence took two years and required an investment of €15 million. The site includes a Customer and Application Center, production facilities, and warehouses. This second Application Center, in addition to the headquarters in Wolfertschwenden, offers even more opportunities for customer testing and demonstrations.

Better responding to customer needs 

"The new location helps us better meet customer needs and deliver complete, tailor-made lines for food processing and packaging," says Dr. Tobias Richter, Chief Sales Officer (CSO). "The additional Application Center allows MULTIVAC to offer even better advice and support to customers in the region."

According to Bernd Höpner, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this investment is a significant step in the growth strategy and confirms the commitment to the Marburg-Biedenkopf region. The expanded development and production capacity will drive further growth for the Slicing Business Unit.

New job opportunities in Buchenau 

The new complex is also creating jobs. "In this phase, up to 150 employees will start working in the modern building," says Jochen Ertl, Senior Director of Slicing and Buchenau Site Director. "We offer interesting, future-oriented jobs and are an attractive employer in the region. In the coming years, we will further expand the workforce."
