Packaging Essential Requirements have been around for a long time, but not many companies are doing much with them. The proposal for the new European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation contains stricter requirements to further reduce environmental impact from packaging.
Not only will the requirements be stricter, there will also be more enforcement. "It is time for companies to start working on it," says KIDV director Chris Bruijnes. To support the business community in this, the KIDV, in collaboration with Schuttelaar & Partners, GetPact, Plato Product consultants and Partners for Innovation, is launching a special website on the Essential Requirements.
