Vegan startup Meet Jack and Bolscher 'meer dan vlees' are working together in the production and sale of vegan jackfruit products as of September 1st 2019.

Meet Jack is an innovative food startup and has been working on recipes based on unripe (savoury) jackfruit for the past 2 years. They developed a bitterball, croquette, burger and gyros. Jackfruit is the largest fruit in the world, grows fast, uses hardly any water and is averse to pesticides. And the best thing about Jack is that his flesh has a nice bite! Marjolein Pleune, co-founder of Meet Jack is happy with the new partner: "As a social enterprise, we are always looking for ways to make the biggest impact. With this great strategic partner, we have the opportunity to put our products well on the map in the east of the country.

Bolscher 'meer dan vlees' has already started to penetrate new markets some time ago and already produces hybrid burgers with 50% meat and 50% vegetables. With this cooperation, Bolscher also includes 100% vegan products in its range. Roy Bolscher, who is in charge of the management together with Chiel Bolscher, about this cooperation: 'Meet Jack offers very tasteful and special alternatives to meat. We like to work together with them on a sustainable future.

Bolscher 'meer dan vlees', located in Twente (Netherlands) is a family business of butchers and chefs who have only one goal in mind: to supply the finest meat and food products to food professionals. Because they believe in small-scale, regional meat production, they started Harry's Farm in the Enters Reggedal, a delicious, high-quality meat from Black Angus cattle. And they are developing "less meat" concepts, such as Meat Your Veggies, tasty burgers with 50% meat and 50% vegetables.
