Dutch and French cheese, extra tasty

  • 13 March 2019

Family business Van der Heiden Kaas, distributor of many artisanal cheeses, has acquired Fromagerie Brigitte on February 1st. This has further broadened the product range. In addition to the special quality of Dutch cheeses in many flavours, the acquisition of Fromagerie Brigitte, specialized in the import of French cheese, also brings the French cheese in the product range of Van der Heiden Kaas.

Best of both

The Netherlands is a pre-eminent cheese country, but France is also known as a country with a rich experience in making and ripening cheese specialties. Van der Heiden Kaas now has brought together the best of two real cheese countries through the acquisition of Fromagerie Brigitte. Fromagerie Brigitte is specialized in importing French cheese, especially in the cave ripened cheese. The Gris cheese is produced in the Netherlands and ripened in a cave in France.

'Gris', but colourful in taste experience

Gris cheese benefits from the ideal conditions in a cave to ripen the cheese. This way the cheese reaches perfect ripening after a few months and can develop its full flavour. 'Gris' of colour, but colourful in taste experience.
