DNA IT Holding, known for DNA Services, based in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, has completed a new acquisition. The IT company from South Holland has acquired the FreshERP software from Coöperatieve Caswell IT Group in the past quarter. This cooperative consists of various fruit and vegetable companies collaborating on automation.
The FreshERP software package is suitable for companies with a few to hundreds of employees. FreshERP is an integrated package that automates purchasing, sales, complex import facilities, inventory and batch management, crate administration, customs functionalities, EDI, quality control, financial administration, and warehouse management. This package supports all business processes related to the sector.
To fully focus on the fruit and vegetable sector, DNA has established a separate entity under the name Fresh IT Services. This new company is part of DNA IT Holding alongside DNA Services. This structure allows the company to fully relieve customers. In the fresh produce industry, the FreshERP software package is delivered, and through DNA Services, separate IT management (such as hosting) with security services can be offered. This provides companies with a single point of contact for all their IT needs.
With this transaction, DNA accelerates its growth and increases its revenue from software subscriptions. All contracts will be continued, and customers can continue to use the FreshERP software. The developers, who were instrumental in the creation of the current FreshERP, will remain involved in the maintenance and further development of the software. Various innovations are already in progress, such as data visualization (Power BI integration), WooCommerce (webshop integration), and optimizing the user interface (UX design). The DNA team specializes in developing (mobile) web applications and will also focus on security and scalability in the cloud.
