Cosun introduces new meat substitute ingredient

Cosun Beet Company introduces a new innovative and functional ingredient for meat substitutes: Fidesse®, the only raw material of this 100% vegetable product is Dutch sugar beet pulp.

Sugar beet pulp is a side stream of sugar production by Cosun Beet Company. Using a unique technology, this pulp is gently processed into a food ingredient that gives texture and juiciness to plant-based foods, such as meat substitutes. As Fidesse® has a neutral taste and colour, it can be used in many different products.

Healthy and locally grown

The only raw material of Fidesse® is sugar beet pulp from locally grown sugar beet, giving the product a low footprint. Because it is 100% plant-based, it is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. Moreover, Fidesse® is rich in dietary fibre and contains very little fat.
