Many decisions, except for the price, are made based on a gut feeling. If you have faith in something which is confirmed by a relation with a positive experience, that is often the final push someone needs to say yes. Everyone needs ambassadors.
Their importance is often underestimated. In marketing, for instance. In marketing, there is a major focus on awareness, interest, trust, and ultimately, purchase. But it doesn’t stop there! It happens all too often that the communication stops once the money has been made. That is short-term policy. Why not continue to inform and advise your customer? New customers often get a discount; offer existing customers additional tools and stay in touch. What is better than a customer bringing in new prospects?
This also applies to my own network. There are lots of ambassadors among the OSV members. During a meeting, I simply don’t have the time to give everyone the attention they deserve. I do try to have a moment with everyone, but then I have to let go again. Especially at a barbecue where there are more than 150 people. But not to worry, first-time visitors are welcomed by these ambassadors; many feel immediately at home. And the proof came during the golf day: three new members. They just want to be a part of that warm club.
That feels so good! For them, but certainly also for me.
I dare say:
Getting to know the OSV is at your own risk... because once you are in, you’ll never want to leave 😊.
Thank you ambassadors!
