As of September, Alpro, a pioneer in vegetable alternatives for dairy products, will put Nutri-Score on the front of the packaging. "Alpro has been committed to encouraging healthy eating habits for almost 40 years. The fact that Nutri-Score is increasing attention and transparency in this area is something we can only welcome", says Rene van den Cruijsem, Commercial Director of Alpro Nederland. Following in the footsteps of France and Belgium, where the products for the Dutch market are produced, Alpro is now also one of the pioneers in the Netherlands to motivate consumers to make a healthy and conscious choice of food.
Alpro consciously chooses Nutri-Score. Alpro, which leads the category of vegetable alternatives to dairy, wants to help consumers make a healthy and conscious choice in their daily shopping and facilitate the creation of a balanced diet. The logo is a useful tool for making a quick and well-founded healthy food choice. Alpro also considers it important to be transparent and clear about the nutritional values of vegetable products. 90% of the Alpro range has the green Nutri-Score A or B and the company remains committed to continuous improvement.
