Agrico, Nedato & Leo de Kock launch PotatoNext

  • 07 August 2023

Agrico, Nedato and Leo de Kock announced on August 7, 2023 their joint, independent cooperative of common consumption potatoes called PotatoNext. This new cooperative represents an essential milestone within the potato industry, established through intensive cooperation between the three respected companies.

The launch of PotatoNext is accompanied by the unveiling of a new logo and a fresh corporate identity. The wordmark and pay-off contribute to the identity of this shared brand, while the new logo symbolizes the entire potato process. From the planting stage to the moment the potato reaches consumer shelves, all stages have been included in the choice of the specific colors that represent the brand. The color palette reflects the diversity and natural origins of potatoes, and the "infinity" logo symbolizes cooperation and connection.

Management

The PotatoNext board of directors has been appointed and will consist of Jan Bijleveld and Mariska Werring, both currently board members at Leo de Kock. With their extensive experience, they are determined to steer the cooperative into a successful future.

In addition, the Management Team (MT) of PotatoNext has been formed, a crucial entity for the day-to-day operations and strategic decisions within the cooperative. The team consists of Daniel Hans (Logistics) from Leo de Kock, Koen van Hartevelt (Sales), Jan den Boer (Cultivation) and Francis Moerdijk (Finance) all from Nedato. This team of professionals, with their profound experience, is ready to apply their expertise to the growth and development of PotatoNext.

In the coming period, further information will be provided to our valued growers, customers and suppliers about the transition of our current ware potato growers to PotatoNext, and the benefits this partnership will provide.
