ADM and Air Protein lead the way with landless protein

ADM, a global leader in sustainably produced food, and Air Protein, a pioneer in landless air-based food proteins, announced on 18 May 2023 that they have entered into a strategic development agreement. This agreement enables both companies to conduct joint research and development, with the aim of further advancing the development of unique proteins for food.

By joining forces, ADM and Air Protein leverage ADM's extensive expertise in nutrition, formulation and research, combined with Air Protein's innovative landless farming platform. Together, they aim to scale up cost-effective ingredients, enabling meat substitutes to achieve their cost, nutritional, taste and texture goals.

A key aspect of this strategic development agreement is that both ADM and Air Protein will obtain mutually exclusive rights to collaborate on the construction and operation of the world's first-ever commercial-scale Air Protein plant. This revolutionary facility marks a milestone in the food industry and highlights both companies' commitment to innovation and sustainability.
