13 food and agribusi­nesses in Innovation Top 100

Three quarters of the entrepreneurs in the KVK Innovation Top 100 indicate that innovation has increased the competitive position and turnover (72%). The profit and productivity at 57%. For just over half, the number of employees has increased and exports have risen.  

A panel of innovation experts made the selection from more than 330 entries. The top 100 includes fish-free tuna (from both Seasogood and Schouten Europe), vegetable milk powder (Natulatte), raw materials for vegetable-based substitutes for fish and meat (Meatless) and sustainable pork (Eigezijns). But also innovations that prevent food waste (OneThird, Orbisk, Makes Me Happy, Kumasi Drinks) or enable more energy-efficient cultivation (including CO2 Correct BV, Meteor Systems).   

All nominations have been judged on impact on the industry and society, originality, availability and realized sales and growth potential. On 2 February 2022 a jury chaired by Ruud Koornstra will announce the exact ranking of each company in the KVK Innovation Top 100. Then it will also be clear which company will take over Somnox's number 1 position and may call itself "the most innovative SME in The Netherlands" for a year. The complete list can be found at:
