Schouw changes company structure

  • 20 December 2018

In line with the growth ambition of Schouw Informatisering, Director/Owner John Schouw has announced that as of 1 January 2019 the daily management will be transferred to Steven Doesburg. By doing so, John Schouw creates room for the management team in the path to further growth and transformation from Schouw to the next phase, but also room for himself to investigate innovations and to be closer to customers and the market. Steven Doesburg will therefore be appointed CEO of Schouw Informatisering as of 1 January 2019. The board is further formed by Peter van den Maagdenberg (CFO) and Serge Breugelmans (COO).

Advisory board

John Schouw remains, besides being the owner, the figurehead of Schouw Informatisering. "My name is on the facade and this gives me the space to do what has made Schouw great: in my role as trusted advisor and contact for customers."

In recent years, Schouw Informatisering has acquired a solid position as IT caretaker in the food industry. With 135 employees, Schouw Informatisering now serves more than 300 food customers worldwide. To help the company grow, John Schouw confidently transfers day-to-day management. This gives him room for new business. "For me, this means, among other things, that I will focus more on the innovative corner by looking at the applicability of new technologies for our target group and new opportunities in the market.

In addition, during this transformation John Schouw will join the Advisory Board of Schouw Informatisering, which was established earlier this year. This currently consists of Martin van de Ven, former CEO of SVZ International and Aviko and Joop van Voorthuijsen, co-founder and member of the Supervisory Board of The IT Channel Company, which includes QBS Group, among others. A combination of expertise and experience from both the food industry, business applications and the Microsoft partner ecosystem.

Transformation Inspection Informatization / Microsoft Dynamics 365

With the arrival of Steven Doesburg as CCO and director ISV, we started an exciting journey at Schouw: the transformation of both our solution and organization to Cloud Solution Provider. Recently we have already launched our food specific software solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365: Foodware 365. A solution on the future-proof Dynamics 365 platform, which offers access to an infinite number of technological innovations. The transformation we started at Schouw does not only affect the realization of new products and solutions, but also the way we approach our customers, deliver our services and offer our support. And that offers great opportunities! New techniques, new processes and an ever clearer new reality in which we can serve our customers even better.

Steven Doesburg: "Schouw Informatisering is a special and wonderful company. The customers, focus, vision and people make Schouw what it is today. The speed of the transformation being adopted internally has increased the confidence that this is the right path.
