After Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East, the Dutch family business Schouten Europe BV will now also supply vegetarian products to Australia. From this summer onwards, Schouten will be supplying its products in more than 50 countries.
An Australian company, which Schouten met last year at an international trade fair, starts buying some products based on vegetable proteins. The products will soon be available in various Australian supermarkets.
According to commercial director, Arjaan van der Giessen, these are logical steps: "The market for products based on vegetable proteins is growing rapidly worldwide. In recent years, we have been exporting our products to an increasing number of countries. With the addition of Australia, we are going to deliver to more than 50 countries, a milestone."
Other new markets for Schouten are Japan, Russia, Aruba and Kenya. Here, the Brabant company will supply vegetable products to several fast food chains.
