Registration Foodvalley Champions 2020 opened

Fame at home and abroad, recognition by an independent jury and an extensive prize package. After twelve years of presenting the Foodvalley Award, one of the most prestigious agrifood innovation awards in the Netherlands, Foodvalley NL starts a new award ceremony. This autumn, the three most innovative companies in the field of protein transition, nutrition and health and circular agriculture will be named the Foodvalley Champions 2020. It is possible to register or nominate a company until 31 May 2020.

The prize

- A professional promotional film of the innovation;
- International profiling by Foodvalley NL at relevant organisations through events, presentations and publications with, among other things, ample editorial attention through the communication channels of Foodvalley NL;
- The Foodvalley Champion 2020 award;
- A one-year Foodvalley Membership with access to the international Foodvalley innovation and business network, opportunities for individual support and additional profiling opportunities during membership.

Criteria

The nominees and the final Foodvalley Champions are determined by an independent expert jury. The jury assesses the companies:

1. The extent to which a recent innovation contributes to change in one of these themes: protein transition, food & health or circular agriculture. In this respect, innovation means a new technology, process, product or, for example, ingredient, distinguishing it from already existing solutions and already being applied in practice.

2. The innovative character of the company. Central to this is the extent to which the organization (the management but also the internal processes) is committed to innovation, the extent to which employees are stimulated to contribute to innovation and the alignment of the innovation strategy with the objectives of the company.

Announcement Foodvalley Champions 

In September the three nominees per theme: protein transition, food & health and circular agriculture will be announced. The Foodvalley Champions, one per theme, will be announced during the Foodvalley Summit on 13-14 October 2020. More information about the Foodvalley Summit will be published soon. The Foodvalley Champions ceremony will take place once every two years.
