As of Monday 7 January 2019, the 45% vegetable tortillas of the Dutch company No Fairytales will be available throughout Denmark. Three Danish supermarket chains (Netto, Bilka and Føtex) will then start selling the colourful Dutch vegetable tortillas. This makes Denmark the fourth country where No Fairytales tortillas are for sale (after the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden).
The step to Denmark will be taken in cooperation with the parent company behind the three Danish supermarket chains, the Salling Group.
"We are extremely proud and honoured that, together with the Salling Group, we can introduce the Danish population to our fresh vegetable tortillas. With No Fairytales we want people to eat more vegetables on a large scale and that is of course not limited to our national borders. If our 'hidden vegetables' approach really wants to do something for the problem of obesity in the world and make an impact, we will have to look beyond the Netherlands. Therefore, this new distribution in Denmark through the Salling Group is a great new step for us to involve as many people as possible in eating more vegetables. Thus Bernadette Kooijman, founder of No Fairytales.
From 7 January 2019, the Rødbede Tortilla (red beets) and the Gulerods Tortilla (carrots) will be in the chilled fresh section of all 625 branches of Netto, Bilka and Føtex, spread throughout Denmark.
