Until 30 June 2020, the Accelerated Climate Investment Industry scheme still offers great opportunities for investments in energy efficiency, recycling and reuse of waste, local infrastructure and other CO2-reducing measures. By the end of the term, more than € 17 million of the total budget of € 28 million will still be available.
Producers and distributors in the industry are eligible for subsidies when they invest in equipment, systems or techniques that reduce CO2 emissions. Eligible for subsidies are investments aimed at, for example:
Investments must have a proven effect. This means that the technique has already been demonstrated at least three times in the Netherlands. The investments are eligible for subsidy if they have a payback period without subsidy of more than five years.
The application period runs until 30 June 2020 17:00. It is therefore important to take action quickly if you want to be eligible for a subsidy. The assessment is in order of receipt.
Depending on the investment, the subsidy amounts to 30% to 70%. The subsidy amount is a minimum of € 125,000 and a maximum of € 3 million. The budget for this scheme is € 28 million. Based on the last reference date of May 2020, more than € 17 million is left over from the budget.
Subvention has already taken care of several applications, all of which have so far been granted. In combination with the ample available budget, our experience is that an application is still promising.
Because accelerated CO2 reduction in the Netherlands in 2020 is the main goal, the focus is on large-scale projects.
The name of the scheme already shows that it can be used on a broad scale. The budget also appears to be more than sufficient. There are therefore opportunities for your organization or project!
Subsidy advisors Industrie Niek Gillis or Bob van Dijk will be happy to tell you about the possibilities for your organisation.
