High-protein food of the future' is the vision of the Future Food Group that started at the beginning of October 2019. Future Food Group intends to be a leading party in the innovation and production of sustainable and eco-friendly meat products and especially meat alternatives. Future Food Group is managed by Mr. Anton Bal and is based in Oss.
Corporate social responsibility is of paramount importance to the new company, which means that the focus is on healthy, tasteful, sustainable products, including vegan and organic products. For the ''food of tomorrow'' Future Food Group focuses mainly on the development of an innovative vegetable assortment. Despite the focus on vegetable structures, meat also remains a source of protein. For example, research into cultured meat is on the agenda and organic meat concepts are among the possibilities.
In addition to the development of new meat alternatives, Future Food Group's activities are mainly focused on the production and packaging of food products. Sustainability not only plays a role in the products, this aspect is also taken into account in the choice of packaging. Most innovation takes place in-house, using the company's own resources and knowledge. Future Food Group also has contacts with third parties with whom external technical and scientific information is used.
Most of the products in the extensive range of meat substitutes are made from protein-rich plants such as chickpeas or algae. Examples of the range are snacks, meal components and vegan meat products. Future Food Group focuses on retail/cash&carry, out of home and food service. Products can be supplied as a private label or under a Future Food Group brand. The new private label with an international name will be announced shortly.
Future Food Group is under the daily management of Mr Anton Bal. Mr. Bal has a butcher's background and more than 30 years of experience in the production of meat and meat products, at home and abroad. When there was a demand for vegetable products, he responded enthusiastically. For example, the 'FF Anders' brand has been in existence for about six years now, offering a range of beautiful but also tasteful vegetarian products.
A business premises has been found in Oss where Future Food Group can produce and package products. A deliberate choice was made to establish Future Food Group in this region, as there are more companies here that focus on the vegan market. Through this cluster of knowledge, innovation and drive for this rapidly emerging market, people can strengthen each other.
Anton Bal: "Sustainability is central to me. I thought it was time for the next step, with more attention to the development of new products and the initiation of improvement processes. With this new company, I have the opportunity to do so. I believe that meat alternatives can also be tasty and affordable. It's up to me and my colleagues at Future Food.
