On Thursday 9 April, the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW) and MKB-Nederland (MKB-Nederland) presented a new corona instrument for entrepreneurs, which among other things calculates to what extent they are eligible for the government measures and what effects these measures will have on their financial position in the coming period. This corona calculator has now gone live.
Entrepreneurs are facing acute financial problems as a result of the corona crisis: because they have been forced to close down their business, because of the government's home stay advice or because of disrupted (international) chains. Many entrepreneurs now do not know where they stand. "With the new calculator, we can easily help entrepreneurs find their way through the support measures that are available and what effect they have on their liquidity position," says VNO-NCW chairman Hans de Boer. "This is how we are trying to provide extra support in these uncertain times.
Jacco Vonhof, MKB-Nederland-chairman: "You don't do business alone. We support entrepreneurs where we can. In the lobby, but also practically as with this calculator. We will continue to refine and expand this tool in the coming period on the basis of all experiences and developments".
The corona calculator simply lists all support measures. Entrepreneurs quickly gain insight into which schemes apply to them, as well as an indication of concessions, credit opportunities and tax deferrals. It also gives an indication of their personal liquidity position in the coming period, based on their own company data. In addition, everything is conveniently arranged in one personal dashboard. There is a direct link to relevant application forms and answers to frequently asked questions. The calculator, on which KPMG Meijburg collaborated, is safe and works quickly, according to VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland. Regulatory changes are processed in the calculator.
